I thought he must have been some ribald comic. But I'm not sure that the
connection you are attempting to make (via Eddins) between transvestitism
and serial killing is a legitimate one. It does reek of a certain stereotype
or prejudice, if not outright xenophobia as well, as Kai and Jeremy noted.
Certainly, Blicero isn't depicted as a serial killer in _GR_, nowhere near
it: in fact, it's Greta Erdmann who seems to have that particular market
cornered within the novel.
