Derrida ing the list

 John Searle reports a conversation he once had (in 
French) with Michel Foucault.  Foucault, who was even more
opposed to 
Derrida than Searle, stated that Derrida practiced the
method  of "obscurantisme terroriste." When Searle asked
"What the 
hell does that mean?", Foucault explained that Derrida
writes so  obscurely you can't tell what he's saying--that's
the 
obscurantism--and then when someone criticizes him, he can 
always say, "You didn't understand me. You're an
idiot!"--that's 
the terrorism.
