V & all that

I just finished "Gravity's Rainbow" this morning, after having read "Vineland"
and, first, "V". Have avoided all comment, discussion or explanation untill now. Either you take something like these books cold or not at all. I took up "V" knowing nothing of Pynchon except a recommendation from Harold Bloom's reading list. I was furious at first, still am from time to time, but was amazed at my level of interest with virtually nothing to grab on to. Not much point discussing the stuff with friends. I will probably get into "Mason & Dixon" shortly, so I'd rather not hear about it, but the other books would be worth discussing. I registered for chat but, not surprisingly, nobody was around. Thus this note.
Regards,
MK
