If, as Michael Berube seems to be saying in that Chronicle of Higher
Education article Terrance pointed us to the other day, the genre
"postmodern fiction" remains empty, this sort of observation doesn't really
say very much, does it....The bold assertion by Nietzsche would appear to be
self-cancelling, too -- just his opinion, since "there are no facts."
