Chronicle:
Kerouac scroll to go public
Say this for Christie's: It knows when it's Beat. In response to demand,
the auction house will conduct open viewings of Jack Kerouac's typescript
manuscript scroll of "On the Road" from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and tomorrow
at its offices at 400 Montgomery St., San Francisco. No reservations are
necessary.

has a picture of the holy scroll itself and a longer story about it.
Christie's expects it to sell for $1.5 million.
