Mason/ Dixon sighting

Hello - I thought this may be of interest.
 There was an odd mention of Pynchon and" Mason and Dixon"
this morning's  NPR Morning Edition show
Host Bob talks with guitarist and singer-songwriter Mark Knopfler   about his new
album, "Sailing to Philadelphia." Its Knopfler's C-D in his solo career. In the 70s
and 80s he was the front man of the band Dire Straits, best known for his songs
"Sultan's of Swing" and "Money for Nothing."
 His latest CD and song by the same title he sings with James Taylor
"Sailing to Philadelphia" was based upon his reading of Pynchon's Mason Dixon at the
time.
