We might love him even more if the p-list were a sitcom on TV instead of
real life. Many people found Major Frank Burns (Larry Linville) more lovable
than the MASH cool guys. However p-list cool guys are lovable also.
Hopefully even the alte cockers.  Everyone is lovable--which is  why it's
impossible to kick the habit.
