Guess who said the following and you could win a weekend for two in the 
workers' paradise of your choice-Cuba, China, North Korea, or the Sudan where 
you can protest the repeated human rights violations in the US and not fear 
retaliation.

History is not, of course, a cookbook offering pretested recipes. It teaches 
by analogy, not by maxims. It can illuminate the consequences of actions in 
comparable situations, yet each generation must discover for itself what 
situations are in fact comparable.
