Since you bring up the comb....  Aren't we supposed to assume that Paola
becomes V... or maybe P.  Instead of comparing young Paola to V, why not to
Victoria Wren.  We don't really know what Paola does with the rest of her
years...IF there was to be a sequel to V., (Hey, what did Pynchon do during
all those years 1973 to 1990?) wouldn't we see Paola taking on more and more
false identities...  who knows, I like to imagine too much maybe.  But
really we are only looking at the start of the cycle with Paola (maybe).
