Yeah, well, I'll be far away from machines the entire month
of August, so M&D...September? I'll be building a small
cabin in Gregory's Wood. can't buy a tower these days.  dreaming of that 
country that is no  place for old carpenters, fly fishing where the 
riverrunspast the Queen's natural unnatural gasssss on that green.

and it's too far to make it to mass on a sunday bloody
stormy monday, so I'll read last years paper and swear
by every word down at McCan's Pub late into Wednesday.


Besides the summoning to the ancient
winding stair, that steep ascent, crushing sea shells of
certitude, arms out to balance on the broken
crumbling battlements, up, up and away, into the
breathless starlit sky, searching for the pole, that
cross, that fixed fixture on the wall where once a tapestry was
woven in a billion shades of green and now only the pale
green dead as Presidents and the eternal tax collector await me.
