....Eisner is the guy who quoted Thomas Pynchon about MDMA , "Ecstasy", I
don't have the quote handy but it's circulated in this forum several times.
I first encountered the quote in a book by my friend, journalist Doug
Rushkoff.  Once when this came up on Pynchon-L, I asked Rushkoff where he
got it, he directed me to Eisner's book, _Ecstasy: the MDMA Story_, written
in 1984.  I contacted Eisner and asked him if he had interviewed Pynchon or
where he had gotten the quote.  He dodged the question and would say only
that he was absolutely certain that the quote was authentic.
