Just because it was a low blow then doesn't make it any less low now. It's a
case of the lesser of two evils, obviously. With the promise of more
terrorist attacks (i.e. killing) like those of 11/9, something had to be
done to stop those terrorists (i.e. killers). That something became military
intervention once all attempts at diplomatic negotiation were exhausted.

I'd still wager that the Taliban has been and would have been guilty of more
killing of innocents in Afghanistan than the international coalition.

Doug, I've said all along that some of the causes which you ostensibly
support are worthy ones. Unfortunately, you do more harm than good to these
causes. Perhaps if *you* started to treat other people with a bit more
respect and courtesy - practise what you preach in other words - then you
might find that you have more (political) allies on the list than are
currently apparent.
