1. Wolves take what they need. That's why they are wolves and not
terrier puppies. I am sure the angry wolf would certainly not have
allowed the compassionate wolf to make off with all the wolf chow.
2. Emotions are not wolves anyway, and they shouldn't dictate
political policy for good or bad.
3. And even so, a couple of well-fed compassionate and loving wolves
aren't much of a match for a bunch of very angry, hungry wolves who
have declared war on a forest and are bending their every resource to
bring down ruin upon the other wolves, sheep, deer, quails, and
anything else that pays taxes and creepeth around in the underbrush.
Whether or not the other wolves have previously mucked about in other
sandy forests.
4. The grandfather was making a personal decision, not dictating the
actions of his tribe.
Just a reminder that poetic metaphors, no matter how beautiful,
remain only fictional frameworks with dubious application to the real
political world. Even Red Riding Hood needed a Huntsman.
