Hope you got/get to see the recently released
"Director's Cut" as well, although I believe the only
changes were that the Coens actually SUBTRACTED
footage from the film. Tightened things up a bit,
allegedly, though I couldn't really tell. But worth
getting hold of if only for the crazed intro by an
alleged "film preservationist" who I once thought was
William Lustig (dir. of Maniac Cops 1, 2 AND 3) but I
now believe is the guy who plays Lloyd Garroway in The
Man Who Wan't There. And, for the record, note that
the video replaces the Four Tops' "It's the Same Old
Song" with Neil Diamond's (vs. the Monkees') recording
of his "I'm a Believer." Why? I don't know ...
