Yes, I'll definitely take subjective.

But how about a local reading as opposed to a global reading? When you read
the list of dead at the WTC looking for the name of a friend it is a local
reading. Otherwise it is global.

Another distinction would be an arguable reading as opposed to an unarguable
(or inarguable?) one.  When a person reads his or her favorite hobby horse
into a passage but can't mount a logical textual analysis supporting this
interpretation then it's an unarguable reading. (it's still a reading)

That's enough of that.
