and the national response to such an event would be?

Why is it that you assume that I wouldn't? Why would you assume
that I wasn't condemning those actions while they were occurring?
Are you aware, that as a government, the PEOPLE of the US tried
to investigate and prosecute those who were running an illegal
foreign policy? THat but for a quiet constitutional "privilege"
(pardons), Poppy MIGHT be doing time........

and that is why I have NO SYMPATHY for those who carried on
OR promoted such a policy. Nothing would please me more than to
know that Poindexter, Ollie North and their fellow swine were
rotting away in a Costa Rican prison........

and there will be some justice........Otto Reich, considered a shoo-
in but a mere few months ago, WILL be spiked by the Senate for
his involvement in matters spurious.....too bad we could't have done
the same to Eliott Abrams and others....

oh, and I have "cred" in this regard... My letter of outrage to the
Wall Street Journal led off the page one day some years
ago......So appealing was my condemnation that my missive took
top billing over (what I considered to be a far more useful note) one
from the former Ambassador to El Salvador........

love,
cfa
