Oh, no! War talk on Pynchon-L?

I think we've found at least one genuine P-list warmonger (the first to
post a congratulatory message to the P-list when the US started bombing and
missile attacks), Terrance, not to mention quite a few others who
consistently speak up to support the war, minimize evidence of war crimes,
and otherwise cheerlead for the Bush Administration.

Ignore Pynchon's serious treatment of issues of war, Cold War, complicity
in war crimes, etc., if you wish, but many Pynchon readers choose to take
what Pynchon writes seriously. Pynchon's not all funny character names and
narratological games, after all. He appears to take politics and history
and especially the War that never ends quite seriously, and certainly it's
fair game for discussion on Pynchon-L.
