Does a peace movement need a spiritual principle? 
An illusion? 
A denial of death? 


But I get your point Paul. It's kinda hard to think we can be stardust
getting back to the garden when so much is not getting back...to much 
dust and debris that doesn't look anything like a star's. 

The essay that most goes to the current situation in all its complexity
(Barb, I keep having this vision of the girl spinning her head round in
the
Exorcist), is Freud's *Thoughts on War and Death* 


Does get me thinking that the  "HIM"  of Chapter 5 could be Death. 

War sweeps away the conventional treatment of Death. Thus 
civilization's Illusions about Life are undermined and Death can't be
denied. 

Paul, and the greatest of these is Doubt....
