Apparently you've only seen the beginning of Whit Stillman's* Barcelona, and 
not the end.  In the last scene the three Spanish girls, after putting down 
our "vile hamburgers" for 2 hours, actually have their first taste off a 
classic red bubble-shaped American backyard grill in a real American 
backyard.  They love them.
