Hey all

In this review from the 10/18 issue of the NYRB by Anne Applebaum, A History 
of Horror Le Siècle des camps by Joël Kotek and Pierre Rigoulot, Ms. 
Applebaum notes that the German authorities had begun medical experiments 
and the like on the Herero as the Nazis would do decades later. I don't 
remember hearing about this before--any insight?
