I really have to protest your attack on Terrance's ability to "see the
obvious messages in [Pynchon's] work".  You have GOT to be smoking crack.
I've learned more from Terrance reading this list--and not just about Pyn
and Mel--than from nine thousand Barbaras.  That was really uncalled for and
unjust.

As for impersonation, I don't know or care much, but....  Who could miss the
differences in style???  Perhaps a bit *too* different?  Where D's posts are
carefully written and well organized, you tend to just rave off the top of
your head, sloppy, ill-considered, careless--all dissemblance?  A writer of
Doug's skill could easily impersonate your voice.  I believe my dog does
every day when he yammers at the mailman.

Just taking some more shots at my new favorite target (I take my Mossberg
out to the side of the barn every afternoon).

different. I should think readers of Pynchon would notice those little
subtlties of language. God, what am I saying! How I expect you'd notice
