Jasper,
You better be wrong about Doug and Babs being one and the same. Every time
Babs writes about her arse in the air or cum sliding down somebody or
other's throat my mind's eye runs wild with the possibilities. If the
reality is that what I'm really fantasising about is a dalliance with Doug,
then, boy, am I in trouble.
They're two fine writers, with much to say. Now knock it off, I could
raise similar concerns about the monolithic nature of the redneck claptrap
of their opponents, but me? I haven't time. I'm sitting here with a nice
bottle of French champagne on ice waiting for the announcement that Thomas
Ruggles Pynchon has won the Nobel Prize for literature. It will be great
to see him turn it down. Lots of you guys know the details of the man's
life better than I do. What was the award he refused to accept with regret
because "not only was it a lovely statuette but is 24 carat gold and, thus,
would have been a nice hedge against inflation?"
