This latest crap is because I wrote to Doug off list and told him that I
thought that The Great Quail's open letter was fair and accurate. Quail,
long before  I was here, learned that Doug is a big pain in the ass and
should be ignored. Doug has one reason for being here, to cause fights,
disrupt serious dialogue, peddle his political crap, and pat himself on
the back.  

My posts are often obscure and difficult to read.  And I'm a very poor
typist. 
I've no excuse other than the excuse we all have, I'm busy. I don't put
as much time into editing and cleaning up my posts as I should. But I
spend time researching and reading to make a contribution here. 

One of the reasons why Terrance is up in the subject heading is because
people who  don't have anything to say about Pynchon want to say
something. It's a free list. 
Say whatever you like. I don't care what you say about me. It's
cyberspace bullshit. 
But just once, just once Doug, open a Pynchon book and I'll give you
some posts to read.
