I wonder who you've read.  You have, in the years since I've been on this 
list, shown virtually no knowledge of any writer other than Pynchon.  

Bellow, Nabokov, Gaddis, Roth, Garcia-Marquez, Musil, Joyce, Melville, 
Beckett, Celine, DeLillo, Faulkner, Kafka, Calvino, Stoppard, Pinter to name 
a few .... all of whom you seem ignorant of.

Who exactly have you read, besides Pynchon?
