It makes sense that it would happen. The country that would have the
most to lose by such a revelation has blacked-out news from that part of
the world. It is no different than believing anything that you haven't
been shown, but that appears to be a reasonable assumption, i.e. a
theory, until that theory is "disproved" by one that appears to be more
reasonable.
And how is your theory nearly as reasonable as the assumption that if I
walk out in the rain I will get wet? If someone runs for food in a
country where there are mines...
