Over the last few days, I have been boning up on Islam and the Middle 
East. It certainly seems that you are right, Barbara; Saudia Arabia's 
state religion is a good deal more repressive than I recalled.

And regarding reading up on the history of Islam -- wow. I never 
thought reading all those Dune books so many times would really come 
in use.
