I should have responded to this earlier.  I thought it would be understood, 
in the context of the string, that I was not offering b reaking news; that 
(furthermore), had I been, I would have provided a source.

I received one off-list query about it as well as the above-cited post, so 
this is not a singular case..   To spread misinformation was not my intent.
