Thank you, Werner.  This explains a lot.  It seems to me to be self-evident 
that we are dropping bombs on Afghanistan not so much because of the "6000+" 
but to control the new Silk Route.  It's interesting how well the US 
propaganda machine is working.  President Cheney must be feeling a grim 
satisfaction right now.
