Decadent Rome's Fall is ususally invoked against the US by the religious 
far-right, as it was just recently on Pat Robertson's show:   our recent 
fate was ushered in primarily because of rampant homosexuality.  And please 
remember, "Expand, or be eaten" is a common homo rallyng cry.
