Pynchon's "enemies."

I am sorry, I was not clear at all, and I see your point. I meant in 
general the "enemies" and opponents of his characters, such as 
Blicero, Brock Vond and Hector (my own favorite Pynchon "bad guy"), 
even Maskylene. Also the various cultures and empires. In other 
words, the people who may be considered to work for, or constitute, 
"Them."

I didn't mean, uh, Jules Siegel, the National Book Awards, and the 
Nobel Prize Committee. Heh.
