Is learning only possible from texts that are didactic, unambiguously
moralizing, how-to or textbooks, dogmatic tracts, or is it possible that a
novelist, in a novel, like GR for example, that has none of those qualities
but which is incredibly rich, complex, highly nuanced, outrageously
inventive, ambiguous, and sometimes baffling, might introduce a reader to
new insights both intellectual and emotional, new information, new or
unfamiliar ways of looking at the world?
