Col49 - on the number of 49

Thanks for the feedback.

To me, Otto's list makes good sense: The thought of 49 as being a waypoint
which points in the direction of Book of the Dead, seems to hold water. The
other options: The year of the gold rush and the year that LSD entered USA
seems somewhat pointless.

Or what?

In addition to that, the I Ching seems to verify the first thought, as it
also deals with a passage of renewal.
