Yeah, hey, you know, cj, yr right.  Shelled out good
money today for a copy of Werner Spies' Max Ernst,
1950-1970: The Return of La Belle Jardiniere, one of
those old skool art books with the color plates glued
in (sorry, name dropping, but I'm astounded it still
had all the plates in it, is all, made my day after
this morning's depression), and, flipping through,
thought, jeez, if anybody's been playing those
surrealist word games et al. since Th' War, it's been
Pynchon.  That quantum foam churning 'neath the
workings of language.  Reaffirmed the ol' faith, or
whatever.  STILL taking it persoanlly, of course, but
... but, jeez, Aristotle blah blah blah, buncha
crypto-Ayn Rand fans, is my guess.  Sheesh ...
