Got it today, along with the entire set of back issues
(figured, while I was writing the check, sending the
enevlope ...). But I'm as close as most any of us get
to Eau Claire, WI, so ...
That essay jbor had asked about a while back, Dana
Medoro's "Traces of Blood and the Matter of a
Paraclete's Coming: The Menstrual Economy of Pynchon's
V." (pp. 14-34) is great. Ticks off a set of Teresa
de Lauretis, Alice Jardine and Jacques Derrida lines I
really should have remembered to post myself, covers
all sorts of interesting odds 'n' ends I really wish
I'd have even thought to have attemppted to account
for, can at least take some solace in having hinted at
least that Pynchon might well have been applying a
certain critical edge to some deeply rooted tropes in
re: the feminine, but ... but I would note, struck me
that maybe recourse to Donna Haraway's "A Cyborg
Manifesto" ...

... might have been in order ca. the dismemebrment of
The Bad Priest (which she still reads brilliantly
nonetheless), esp. as I've questins about whether or
not Medoro quite escapes certain deeply rooted notions
herself, but ...
Well, I hope to post a few excerpts tonight, but
there's an essay on annotation I want to get to here
first, so ...
