Well, a friend who works "mid town" (whatever that
might mean, I'm not up on NYC geography) e-mailed me
almost immediately after I e-mailed him yesterday
moring to say he was all right.  Unfortunately, I was
immediately away from the e-mail 'til I logged on
earlier this morning, so I spent the day worrying ...

And a recently-arrived NYC friend's father at the
Pentagon e-mailed early this morning to let me know
both he and my friend were okay, but it took that long
for him to receive confirmation, so ... I would also
like to report good news concerning at least one List
member of concern here, but you know I prefer to let
people speak for themselves, so ...
