some thoughts on day 1

I don't know if being here in New York and seeing firsthand (being unable to 
avoid) the carnage is the significant difference, but I find these posts 
arguing the politics of the event little short of repulsive.

There are by the most conservative estimates thousands of innocent people 
dead from this, slaughtered, burned and buried, most of them still 
undiscovered and unidentified.  

On the day of the event, Millison offered that this is the US reaping the 
whirlwind, to which others of you offered your hearty amens.  I suggest you 
come here and tell that to the families of the dead or maybe engage them in 
this lively little discussion of geopolitics.  

Better yet, offer them Millison's prescription that they read Mason & Dixon 
to learn about projecting evil.  Just the ticket.  And tell them to be sure 
to carry a copy always, lest they find themselves in need of preoccupation 
while being flown by terrorists into the side of a building.
