What an incredible exchange! I won't remember a word of it, not a single punch, but I still feel Cabrera's blood pressure rise.  You poor angry bastards of the world!  And here, in a Thomas Pynchon reading group, after all the lessons in life and literature, you still believe in Fighting for what's Right.  
I'm afraid our Master (Pynchon) is right: we can't see our egos till they fly up our asses on a rocket!  And sadly--so so sadly--not even then.
