Okay, because it keeps coming up, my one little
statement of the events of this past Tuesday, or, at
any rate, on the aftermath thereof. I'm not sure that
anyone here would quite buy George W. Bush's
rhetorical claim that the World Trade Center, the
Penatagon, were essentially targeted out of jealousy
of American freedom/s, of the United States as "a
beacon of liberty." But I do imagine that many here
might have some sense of how these events might be
used as a pretext for the erosion of said freedom/s,
the fogging and dimming of said beacon ...

Paranoia? Eternal vigilance? Whatever. And I won't
even get into the possible futures of the American oil
industry. Okay, I've got research to do, posts to
prepare, however long I might prove to have to do so
here ...
