MDMD

For those who want to talk about Mason & Dixon and don't
want to read or reply to non-Pynchon posts, all you need to
do is read the posts that have MDMD in the subject heading.
Of course, there are very few because we have just started
the novel and because people here wish to discuss the recent
tragedy. And, although Judy provided plenty of good posts,
it's always difficult to say much until we get a little
deeper into the book. Also,  we always start with chapter
one and work our way through on schedule  and since any
number of folks may be reading the novel for the first time
and we want to encourage first time readers and return
readers, we don't jump ahead. Because this method has worked
very well here during our readings of Pynchon novels,
including M&D, I think it will work again. For those that
are ready to quit because they want to discuss Pynchon and
are finding some posts too distracting or whatever, try
reading only the MDMD posts.
