It's easy. First, you have to be ignorant of the truth. Second, or maybe

have to want peace at any price. Third, you have to have a blind faith

Our government is grieving along with the people. The attempt to
separate our government from us, the grieving masses, is despicable,
particularly when one considers the facts. One fact, of course, is that
Washington was hit by a terrorist attack.

This is brilliant analysis,  David. They want war with anyone, at any
price. 
They haven't given a moments though to the consequences of waging war. 
I like the paranoid's analysis better. They know the consequences of
waging war, it's good for the military industrial wall street war
economy,  and so they will wage war. 

But the paranoid makes connections where none exist, cause and effect.
If only war and peace were so simple. 

Just give me some peace, 
all I want is some peace,
