Most people point to the terrible odds involved in scoring a direct hit on 
one jetliner using another jetliner (the latter of which is traveling at 
speeds of well over 800 mph no less). Especially since the hijackers only 
had a minimum amount of flight training. It makes more sense for the 
hijackers to hit a large target such as the pentagon (the world's largest 
office building) and the wtc (NY's tallest office building). The odds of a 
direct hit are much better on a large structure than on a relatively slim 
target such as airforce 1. Notice that the pentagon did not suffer a direct 
hit. If memory serves, the jet they were using missed their target by a few 
100 meters and then skidded into the side of it (saving hundreds if not 
thousands of lives in the process). Logistically, it wouldn't make much 
sense for the terrorists to target airforce 1 (or even the white house or 
camp david) because your chances of hitting them (thus inflicting maximum 
casualties) is much lower. I would speculate that the fourth plane (the one 
that crashed in Pa.) was probably heading for the pentagon as well. Of 
course, this isn't inside info of any type (not that we've been given any 
inside info at all lately) but rather common sense.
