Yeah, but actually it's not all that surprising or strange when we
consider that the ideological forces (National Socialism etc.) against
IG Jews in Germany and abroad, particularly against the influential
Jewish men at IG (these included aufsichtsrat members,  top management,
directors, scientists, and we need to consider as well, the
business relations with Jewish concerns, including banks IG invested in
and borrowed from and owned shares of,  Newspapers around the world in
which IG advertised it products, suppliers of materials, etc.) were
waging a war of hate against  individuals (Jews and Gentiles) who had
not only
their business and corporate concerns to defend (since they believed
that
the ideological men would destroy all they had built) but their 
own financial futures and those of their families. These men did not
roll over and play
Nazi patsies and partners, they were attacked with propaganda,
threatened, their families threatened, their properties vandalized, and
they were imprisoned and they were murdered, but they fought against the
ideological bastards for a long time and they did so also because of
their relationships, their personal, private, friendly relations with
the Jewish men they worked with and did business with. But eventually
the Jews were purged as were many of their Gentile associates and
friends, IG supported the Nazi Party and Hitler and we know the rest.
