I must say this wonder baffles me - what's so hard to believe that
someone may be willing to die for a cause inspite of being educated,
with family etc? Armies the world over are filled with people who are
older, well-educated, and married with children. They all accept the
implicit bargain that they're willing to die and kill for their cause or
country if the need arises - why doesn't anybody wonder how they can do
it?
This is not to equate all causes, however misguided they may be, but to
wonder why everybody finds it odd that one who is not a poor and lonely
young man is willing to die for a cause. It happens everyday.
