Hello

A month ago we (my friends and me) had opened www.pynchon.ru
The problem is that i have (almost) no idea what to do with it.

The only plan i have is to organize some kind of forum for russians to discuss a) difficulties in translation b) everything that is under discussion on pynchon list but in russian.

Errr... another idea is to put there some russian articles connected with TRP. Actually there are at least 2 russian-speaking specialsits (and "promoters") in Pynchon: Sergey Kuznetsov and Alexey Lalo. Maybe someone else whom i don't know.

I don't know of any "directed", "mainstream" community of russian-speaking people interested in Thomas Pynchon. The main reasons are:

There are 2 of Pynchon novels translated into russian:
 - V
 - Crying...
and some short stories.

Nobody knows if it is possible to translate Pynchon into russian adeqvately. Existing translations usualy are said to be awful.

And so on.

So, i'm not afraid of too many russian visitors.

There are 10 Mb aviable and there's a person ready to support it.

  Serge
