I know all this is a thought experiment solely for purposes of amusement and
idle daydreaming. However, if it ever were to rise above that into more
concrete form, there is a major problem:

I suspect Our Man Mr. P would be quite opposed to optioning screen rights to
his masterpiece. Has anyone ever tried?

(A-and anyway GR is already a movie. It plays in my head every time I read
it. <grin>)
