MD vs. GR

Well, it seems the more I read about or in M&D, the more I'm fascinated by 
it--I think I posted a few years ago that in my elder age, I think I'd have 
M&D close by my old man's sick-bed rather than GR.
Maybe because M&D is the only work by Mr Pynchon that I've had experience of 
as truly new has something to do with it as well.

V., GR, and MD are of a piece (major works)

Short Stories, Lot 49, Vineland seem to be of a piece

if Pynchon is consistent, the next book will be shorter and fits in with 
Group 2.
