Point is, it's ALL the slippery slope, without any 
presumed peak/plateau/whatever at any presumed
top/teleology/destiny/destination/whatever.  But there
do seem to be all sorts of rocks 'n' rapids 'n' tigers
'n' crocodiles 'n' whatever, er, "below" ...
