"the new funny fakenamers"?? -- who should that be? I admit that I don't
know what you mean by this.
You may be right about my English but to my knowledge it's the first time on
this list that someone is discriminated for *not* being a native speaker of
the English language.
And on the question of Christianity and Pynchon I'm quite sure I've
understood several hundreds of your innumerable posts in the last three
years quite well, not to mention the topics if this list should be a
moderated list, if valuable p-listers like David, MalignD & Kai are just
Rob's "running dogs", on the question of Holocaust denial and, not so long
ago, if there are people here who defend slavery.
Of course Rob can speak for himself; but it's like I said: I am just
disappointed that you've taken up your old habits again -- flaming the one
who has put the most time & work into the current MDDM. You better can flame
me, you know I'm a nighttime cabdriver and used to cope with nasty
drunkards, this may be helpful to cope with religious and/or political
zealots too, although I don't have the hope to change their minds.
"what do you all expect from me, working day in day out among raving
lunetics (...) they believe in survival after death, communication
mind-to-mind, prophesysing, clairvoyance, teleportation--they *believe* (P's
italics)" (GR 58.6-9)
Your prejudices & rejection of the postmodernist literary theories (Food for
Thought versus Starvation Diet) are simply silly, and since this is a list
discussing literature (and not religion or politics) I consider this far
worse than my* prejudices against dated superstitious beliefs like religions
and political ideologies.
Otto
* which are in fact a logical consequence of postmodernism.
