I understood Doug's interpretation of his comment on my food for thought post
but also liked Otto's interpretation.
Think I was just riffing on Augustine's idea that man's self-consicousness and
contemplation of himself was a reflection of the Trinity. By a kind of fanciful
logic I reasoned that without the Trinity there would be no human consicousness.
It wouldn't just have been a case of:
il n'y a pas de hors-texte
but of:
ll n'y a pas de textes.
Now trivialize THAT.
