For the record let me stress the differences between Doug and Terrance:

1.  Terrance is more bombastic than flame-bating.  The difference has to do 
with the hidden punch.  Doug has no punch, only a blog which has none of his 
own words (yikes!).

2.  Terrance actually cares about Pynchon's intended message.
